Obituary

Rachel Grace Krausman, 93, of Soldier passed away Friday, June 4, 2010 in Topeka.
She was born December 7, 1916 in Laramie, Wyoming the daughter of Everet L. and Lydia R. (Frederick) Farnham. She graduated from Longmont High School in 1934. On July 12, 1936, Rachel married Harry F. Krausman in Denver. She worked in the finance department at Denver University for 8 years and later the finance center for the Air Force for 24 years. She was a member of the O.E.S Oriental Chapter #98 in Denver and a member of Soldier Christian Church. She had been a resident of Soldier since 1998.
Rachel is survived by: her son, Harry R. Krausman (Joanie) of Lakewood, CO; her son-in-law, Joe Denny of Soldier, KS; her sister, Janie F. Bradford of Carbondale, CO; and her 18 grandchildren 32 great-grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry in 1986, her sons, Karl Krausman in 2009 and Wade Krausman in 1991, and her daughter, Peggy Denny in February of this year, and grandsons, William "Billy" Krausman and Kent Krausman.
Cremation is planned. Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at Soldier Christian Church. The family will greet friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. A memorial has been established in her name for the Soldier Christian Church c/o Mercer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 270, Holton, 66436.
