Peggy E. Brown
St. Joseph, MO - Peggy Elaine Brown, 91, of St. Joseph, MO formerly of Dearborn, MO and Overland Park, KS passed away Saturday, September 9th, 2017 in St. Joseph. She was born July 11, 1926 in Topeka, KS, the daughter of Lester Howard and Sadie May (Butrum) Gildehoos.
Peggy was married to James F. Brown. They were later
divorced. She raised her children in Overland Park, KS. Peggy later moved to Dearborn, MO where she commuted to St. Joseph and worked as an Occupational Therapist Aide at the State Hospital for many years.
Survivors include four grandsons, Jonathan McDonald, Raymond McDonald, Heinz Michael Peter, and Jason Lemon.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Heather Lemon and Nancy Brown.
Graveside Services will be 1:30 pm Friday, September 15, 2017 at the Holton Cemetery in Holton, Kansas. She will lie in state Friday morning at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. To leave a special message for the family, please visit www.mercerfuneralhomes.com.
