PAULINE STROLE

Pauline Strole, 93, Valley Falls, died Monday, Aug. 6, 2007, at Village Villa in Nortonville.
Mrs. Strole was a homemaker and had worked with the Red Cross Senior Meal Program in Valley Falls. She had also worked at the Valley Falls School Cafeteria.
She was born on Sept. 5, 1913, at Denison, the daughter of Ira E. and Maggie L. Strawn Cline. She graduated from Denison Rural High School in 1932. She was a member of the Valley Falls United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women and Rebekah Lodge No. 652.
She married Vernon Strole on May 25, 1933, at Birmingham. He preceded her in death on Dec. 21, 1994. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Alvin, Vansel and John Cline, and five sisters, Muzetta Hammond, Mary Moxley, Gladys Perrigo, Velma Mulunax and Dorothy Schuler.
Survivors include two sons, Connie Strole, Topeka, and Merle Strole, Valley Falls; a daughter, Peggy Wichman, Richmond; a sister, Izora Petree, Onaga; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
A funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, at the Valley Falls United Methodist Church. Burial will be at the Valley Falls Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:30-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, at Mercer Funeral Home in Valley Falls. Memorial contributions may be made to the Valley Falls United Methodist Church or to the Valley Falls Recreation Commission and sent in care of Mercer Funeral Home, 810 Broadway, Valley Falls, Ks 66088.
