Holton-Pauline I. Jensen, 83, of Holton, died Friday, November 24, 2006 at a nursing home in Holton. She was born June 10, 1923 in Circleville the daughter of Marlin and Mabel Wilkerson Johnson.
Mrs. Jensen graduated from Circleville High School in 1941 and received her teaching degree from Washburn University. She worked for the Farmers State Bank in Circleville. She worked as a substitute teacher for Holton High School and later was the English teacher for 17 years and retired in 1990.
She was a member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood in Holton, KNEA Teachers Association and a member of the Evangel United Methodist Church.
She married Francis Jensen on May of 1949 in Topeka, Kansas. He survives. Other survivors include 3 sons Jack Jensen and his wife Allison of Houston, TX, Howard Jensen of Wathena, Mike Jensen and his wife Julie of Mayetta; 1 sister Nolah McCahon and her husband Wilson of San Francisco, CA; a brother-in-law Bud Geis of Circleville; 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandsons and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Jensen was preceded in death by a sister Virginia Geis and a brother Ken Johnson.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 27, 2006 at the Evangel United Methodist Church in Holton. Family will greet friends from 7:00-8:30 p.m. Sunday evening at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will be in the Holton Cemetery.
