Horton-Paul Clayton Luscombe, 86, formerly of Holton, KS, passed away April 23, 2009 at Horton Community Hospital. He was born April 3, 1923 in Circleville, KS the son of John H. and May Rosa Hill Luscombe.
Paul graduated from Denison High School and later joined the United States Navy. He was a lifetime member of the Holton V.F. W.
He married Geraldine Heiselman on October 30, 1943. They were later divorced.
Paul was preceded in death by a daughter, Maureen Luscombe; 3 sisters, Anna Marie Luscombe, Virginia Newman and Martha Salts; and one brother, Bill Luscombe.
Survivors include 3 daughters, Sharon Hennis of Holton, Cheryl Hamlin of Circleville, Lea Stewart of Topeka; a dear friend, Virginia Radford of Horton; 2 sisters, Betty Hardy of Castro Valley, CA, Dolly Cole of Topeka; a brother, Maurice Luscombe of Topeka; 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Memorial service will be 2:30 p.m. Monday, April 27, 2009 at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Inurnment will be in the Circleville Cemetery.
