EL PASO, TX – Paul Raymond Beightel, 88, of El Paso, TX formerly of Holton died Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at a nursing home. He was born December 9, 1921 in Holton. He was the son of Marion Arthur and Alice Elizabeth Fisher Beightel.
He earned his Bachelor's Degree in accounting from Kansas State University. He was an accountant for El Paso Natural Gas Company. He served in the United States Navy during World War II.
Paul married Fanchon Groth. She preceded him in death in 1963. He was also preceded by a sister, Dorothy Hensley; brothers, Marvin, Delmar, and Merrill Beightel. Paul is survived by his daughters, Pam Beightel and Cheryl Beightel both of El Paso, TX; sister, Berniece Hyman of Mocksville, NC; brother, Gerald Beightel and his wife, Dorothy of Holton, KS and sister-in-law, Norma Beightel of Emporia, KS.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will be in the Holton Cemetery. Memorials may be given to Alzheimer's Association c/o Mercer Funeral Home, PO Box 270, Holton, KS 66436.
