Patricia Louise McCoy, 63, died November 30, 2010 at her home in Mayetta.
She was born May 25, 1947 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the daughter of John and Mildred (Olson) Varone. She graduated from Spring Lake High School in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1965. On April 20, 1972 Patricia married George McCoy in Sisseton, South Dakota. She had worked for Burlington Northern Santa Fe for 30 years before retiring in June 2009.
Patricia is survived by: her husband George McCoy, of the home; her sons, Leslie George McCoy of Emily, MN, James Oliver McCoy of Woodbury, MN and LeRoy Orlin McCoy of Fridley, MN; her sisters, Margaret Varone, Rosemary Mortrud and Mildred "Mitzi" Busse; her brothers, John Luthard and John Varone; and her six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Jim Varone.
The family will greet friends at a memorial visitation Sunday December 5 from 1-3:00 p.m. at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Memorial Services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday December 7th at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 701 Fillmore St. NE in Minneapolis, Minnesota 55413.
