Pamela S. Sloop, 50, Valley Falls, died Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at St. Francis Health Center at Topeka, after a brief illness. She was born on Sept. 24, 1963, at Winchester, the daughter of Arthur L. "Bud" and Alice Grollmes Frakes. She graduated from Valley Falls High School in 1981.

Pam had worked at Great American Crop Insurance in Lawrence, as an Assistant Volleyball Coach at Valley Falls High School and at Kiddie Corral Day Care in Valley Falls. Pam was a member of St. Mary's Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Valley Falls.

She married Robert A. "Bob" Sloop on May 22, 1981. at Valley Falls. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bud & Alice Frakes.

Survivors include her husband, Bob, of the home; three sons, Justin (Stephanie) Sloop, Easton, Jared Sloop, Valley Falls, and Jordan Sloop, Lawrence; a daughter, Kasey (Todd) Connelly, Dyersburg, TN; three brothers, Mike Frakes, Topeka, Matt Frakes and Art Frakes, both of Valley Falls; seven sisters, Gwen Putthoff, Meriden, Christine Noe, Topeka, Janet Ricklefs, Paula Pickerell, and Amy Harrington all of Valley Falls, Jennifer Schwarzenberger, Prairie Village, and Hope Stover, Topeka; nine grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces.

A Rosary will be prayed at 9:30 a.m. Monday, April 21, 2014, at St. Mary's Immaculate Conception Church in Valley Falls. Inurnment and a graveside service will be at 10:15 a.m. at St. Mary's Cemetery in Valley Falls.
