Norma Doris Leach, 92, of Holton, KS, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2022 at Medicalodge Jackson County. She was born February 4, 1930 in San Diego, CA, the daughter of Alexander V. and Ethel Kinnel.

Norma graduated from Grossmont High School in 1947 in La Mesa, CA. In her early years, she worked at Wall Street. Norma was a homemaker and military wife, stationed in Hawaii, New York, California, New Jersey, Arizona and Kansas.

She enjoyed being a mother, grandmother, cooking and sewing.

In 1951, Norma married Albert Schuh. They later divorced. To this union they shared two children, Jon Albert and Susan. Norma married Lexie Leach in 1958; he preceded her in death in 2013 after 56 years of marriage. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Alexander and Ethel Kinnel; son, Jon Albert Schuh and 2 brothers, Jack and Lee Kinnel.

Survivors include son, Al Specht (Jan) of El Cajon, CA; daughter, Susan Richardson of Mayetta, KS; sister, Alene Wittkop of La Mesa, CA; 5 grandchildren, Al Jr. Specht, Jamie Fender, Matthew Schuh, Dustin Schue and Brian Schuh and 9 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Roberta Schuh of Mayetta, KS.

Memorial Service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 13, 2023 at Leavenworth National Cemetery.
