Nelda Yvonne Teal, 84, of Holton, KS passed away February 10, 2013 at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka. She was born February 12, 1928 in Whiting, KS the daughter of Otto Henry and Violet (Barker) Lamberson.

Nelda was a homemaker, worked as a salad chef for many Ramada Inns in Iowa and worked with her son, Calvin, at Travelodge and Norm & Cals My-T Fine Restaurant in Ohio. Nelda returned to Holton working for Oldham's Meat Processing Plant and retired after nearly 20 years.

She married Kenneth R. Teal on December 3, 1945 in Laramie, WY. He preceded her in death on August 30, 1974. She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, a sister, Clara Glenn and a brother, Harold Lamberson.

Survivors include 2 sons, Kenneth Teal and his wife Shirley of Holton, KS and Calvin Teal and his wife Barb of Lyons, OH; 4 sisters, Barbara Cook of Wichita, KS, Leah Nott of Soldier, KS, Arleta Denny and Linda Conatser both of Clarksville, TN; 5 grandchildren, Jeanie (Kent) Wege, Jason (Laura) Teal, Jacob Teal, Jackie (Michael) Warren and Jenna (Tyson) Andrews and 7 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will be in the Holton Cemetery. Family will greet friends one hour prior to service.
