Nancy E. Ackeret, 64, of Topeka formerly of Soldier, KS died Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka.
She was born July 17, 1944 in Blue Rapids, KS, the daughter of Andrew and Viola Schokey Lister. She retired from Goodyear in 1996 and was a member of United Rubber Workers Local #307.
Nancy married Bruce Edward Ackeret on April 15, 1975 in Hiawatha, KS. He preceded her in death on September 21, 1990. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Pat Barnum and Irene Stille. Nancy is survived by a son, Shawn Ackeret of Topeka, KS.
Mrs. Ackeret was cremated. A memorial graveside service will be at 3:00 p.m. Friday, June 5, 2009 at Bucks Grove Cemetery south of Havensville, KS. Memorials may be given to Midland Hospice c/o Mercer Funeral Home, Box 270, Holton, KS 66436.
