Nadine L. Logsdon, 39, Valley Falls, died Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2008, at her home, following a two year struggle with cancer.
She was born May 15, 1969, at San Bernardino, CA, the daughter of Clair and Barbara Logan Duby.
Nadine worked for Jefferson County 911 Communications at Oskaloosa and was also an Emergency Medical Technician for EMS District 11 at Valley Falls. She was a member of the Bible Holiness Church at Winchester.
She married Jerry G. Logsdon on March 26, 2004, at Oskaloosa. She was preceded in death by her father, Clair Duby.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry, a son, Doran Hobbs, and two daughters, Heather Hobbs and Sarah Hobbs, all of Valley Falls: her mother, Barbara Duby, Diamond, MO; two sisters, Mari Cummings, Valley Falls, and Marie Russo, De Soto, TX; and a granddaughter, Sieanna Ferguson.
Cremation is planned. A gathering of family and friends will be from 6:30-8:30 p.m., Friday, Nov. 14, 2008, at Mercer Funeral Home in Valley Falls. At 11:00 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 15, 2008, a procession of law enforcement, fire department and EMS vehicles will leave the funeral home and drive to the District 11 Fire Station in Valley Falls where a Memorial Service will be held to honor Nadine. Memorial contributions may be made to Jefferson County District 11 EMS and sent in care of Mercer Funeral Home, 810 Broadway, Valley Falls, KS 66088.
