Mona E. Wilson, 87, of Holton, KS passed away Friday, January 12, 2018 at Medicalodge Jackson County. She was born August 27, 1930 in Muscotah, KS the daughter of Sherman and Carrie (Liggett) Wiley.

Mona graduated from ACCHS in 1949. She worked at Coopers Drug Store, Shields Jewelry and Westside Sundry's (retiring in 1992) all in Holton. She also was an Avon Representative for 8 years. She was a member of Netawaka United Methodist Church. She was also a member of O.E.S. #184, Zenith Chapter in Hiawatha.

Mona married Duane E. Wilson on December 3, 1950 in Holton. He preceded her in death on January 9, 2011.

Survivors include 3 sons, Gary Wilson (Brenda) of Holton, KS, Keith Wilson (Rosanna) of Circleville, KS and Daryl Wilson (Della Wrightsman) of Netawaka, KS; a sister, Reta Cooper of Olathe, KS; 9 grandchildren; 16great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.


Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will follow in the Netawaka Cemetery.
