Mildred Tangeman, 91, of Holton passed away Saturday, November 23rd, 2013 at Jackson County Medicalodge.
She was born June 11, 1922 in Denison the daughter of George "Jack" and Elsie (Ricketts) Massey. On August 14, 1976, she married Lawrence Fred Tangeman in Valley Falls. He preceded her in death on October 29, 1994. Mildred was a homemaker and farm wife and had resided in Holton since 1993. She previously had lived in Valley Falls. She was a member of Evangel United Methodist Church.
She is survived by: her sons, Roger Coleman and his wife Janet of Emporia, KS, David Coleman of Pensacola, FL, and Richard Coleman and his wife Debbie of Denison, KS; her daughter, Kathryn Flood and her husband Don of Meriden, KS; her 12 grandchildren, Bruce, Amy, Jennie, Jackie, Jeff, Luke, Mark, Mitch, Keith, Brian, Jasmine and Jack Jr.; and her 5 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband Mildred was also preceded in death by her two sons, Gary Coleman and Jack Johnson.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 27th, 2013 at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will follow in Holton Cemetery. There will be no formal visitation.
