Mildred Lynn, 106, of Holton, Kansas, passed away Friday, April 11, 2014 at Medicalodges in Holton with her niece by her side. She was born January 16, 1908 in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of Hubert and Emma Powers Sewell.

Mildred grew up in the Fairview community and was baptized at the Church of the Brethren in Granada, Kansas. She was a farmwife in the Fairview community before moving to Holton in 1960. Mildred worked for McFadden and A & P Grocery stores in Holton. She then worked for Dean Hune at Bender Hardware in Holton for 15 years.

She was married to Lloyd Lynn on July 28, 1927 in Holton. Lloyd passed away September 24, 1984. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Donnis May Lynn on March 20, 1933, her sisters, Grace McDaniel and Helen Gilbert and her brother, H.P. "Sonny" Sewell. She is survived by her brother, Roy Sewell of Holton and several nieces and nephews.

Services for Mildred will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 14, 2014 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. The family will greet friends from 9 to 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
