Miguel Castro Perez, 21, of Holton, KS, passed away Friday, April 7, 2023 at his home. He was born May 8, 2001 in Joyabaj, Quiche, Guatemala, the son of Maria Castro Perez.

Miguel attended schools in Joyabaj. He had lived one year in Holton and previously in Guatemala. He was a self-employed landscaper. He enjoyed spending time with his family, video games and soccer.

He was a member of the Evangel-Nueva Vida Church in Holton.

Miguel married Norma Jojana Matias Gutierrez; they have been married for 3 years.

Survivors include his wife, Norma and daughter, Mary Elizabeth Castro Matias both of Joyabaj, Quiche, Guatemala; mother, Maria and stepfather, Andres Jimon Cortez of Holton, KS; 3 sisters, Catilina, Jacinta and Daniela Jimon Castro all of Holton, KS; 3 brothers, Pedro Castro Perez (Eloisa Siguantay Perez) of Topeka, KS, Jamie Lopez Castro and Tomas Jimon Castro both of Holton, KS.

Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 15, 2023 at Evangel-Nueva Vida Church in Holton. Burial will be at a later date in Guatemala. Memorials may be given to the Mercer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 270, Holton, KS 66436 to help with funeral expenses.
