Michiel Lee "Mickey" Knouft, 62, of Holton, KS passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at the Holton Community Hospital. He was born March 28, 1946 in Holton, the son of Donald Charles "Deke" and Floye M. Manuel Knouft.
He attended Carwood Country School and Circleville. He worked at Hamburger Inn "The Dump" for his parents for 30 years. He also worked as a janitor for Kansas State Bank now Holton National since 1981. He was a member of the Evangel United Methodist Church. Mickey was a sports fan and enjoyed riding his bicycle.
Mickey was preceded in death by his father, Donald in November 1985. He is survived by his mother, Floye Knouft of Holton; brother, Mark L. Knouft and his wife, Debby of Holton; nieces, Carly Fletcher and her husband, Brett, Lindsay Alley and her husband, Ryan, and Tara Ladusch and her husband, Lloyd; great-nephews, Taygen and Jayden Fletcher; and great-niece, Abri Alley.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 3, 2008 at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will be in the Holton Cemetery.
