Michell Lynn Baker, 52, of Topeka, KS, passed away Sunday, September 5, 2021 at Stormont Vail Hospital. She was born July 21, 1969 in Syracuse, KS, the daughter of Harmond "Gene" Slate and Karen Sue (Reynolds) Immenschuh.

Michell attended Lakin High School and later earned her GED. She attended Colby Community College, Highland Community College and Garden City Community College. Michell worked as a Certified Nurse's Aide and Certified Medication Aide at High Plains Retirement Center in Lakin, KS and Briar Hill Nursing Home in Garden City, KS. She had also worked for Subway in Holton, KS and I-70 Auction in Topeka, KS.

Michell was a member Topeka V.F.W. Post 1650 and in her younger years she was a Browning and Girl Scout member. She enjoyed swimming, fishing, her cats and dogs and collecting unicorns.

She married Daniel Mannel in 1989 at Garden City, KS; they later divorced. She married Randy Baker; they divorced.

Survivors include her mother, Karen Immenschuh of Chelsea, OK; father and step-mother, Gene and Susan Slate of Lakin, KS; 4 children, Zachary Mannel (Hillary) of Maize, KS, Jacob Mannel of Sioux Falls, SD, Megan Mannel of Hayes, KS and Devon Mannel of Sioux Falls, SD; sister, Melinda Lytle (Gary) of Mayetta, KS and 3 grandchildren, Sophie, Greta and Heinrich; niece, Katherine Davidson; step-niece, Libbie Lytle; 2 nephews, Brendan Sean Cain and Geoffrey Aiden Cain; great-nieces, Mackenzie, Piper, Sophie, Nichole and Nevaeh; 2step-brothers and 3 step-sisters.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Jack and Norma Jean Reynold; paternal grandparents, Harmond and Fay Slate and step-father, Warren Immenschuh.
