Mary Elizabeth Twombly, 80, of Topeka died Tuesday, July 10, 2007 at Menorah Medical Center in Overland Park, KS. She was born March 24, 1927 in Garnett, KS the daughter of Delos and Mabel Scott Lewellin. She lived most of her life in the Topeka community.
Mary had worked in sales for F.W. Woolworths in Topeka. She was married to Clarence Twombly on April 7, 1945 in Garnett, KS. He died December 30, 1977. She is survived by her sons; Richard Twombly of Topeka, KS and Robert Twombly of Prescott, AZ; Sisters, Ilena Miller of Garnett, KS and Shirley Grigsby of Kansas City; Brother, Ralph Lewellin of Phoenix, AZ.
Memorial services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday, July 13, 2007 at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Inurnment will be in Denison Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.mercerfuneralhomes.com
