Rossville- Mary Louise McDonald Montgomery, 90, of Rossville, formerly of Holton passed away Wednesday June 16, 2010 at Stormont Vail in Topeka.
Mary was born February 13, 1920 in Corning, Kansas the daughter of George F. and Lillie Mae (Hiner) Runnels. On August 15, 1938 she married Norman J. McDonald. He preceded her in death on March 17, 1970. She later married Maurice Montgomery on February 23, 1973 in Holton. He also preceded her in death on November 17, 2004.
Mary attended Rulo Nebraska High School. She had lived in Topeka for 30 years, Holton for 28 years before moving to Rossville in 1998. Mary was a homemaker, a former member of the Evangel United Methodist Church in Holton, a member of Rossville United Methodist Church, a former member of Golden Rod Club and a former member of Faith Circle at the EUM in Holton.
She is survived by: her son, Jim McDonald (Patty) of Yuba, OK; her daughter, Joan Hubbard (Donald) of Maple Hill, KS and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 19, 2010 at the Rossville United Methodist Church with burial following in Antioch Cemetery in Frankfort, Kansas. The family will greet friends 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the church. A memorial has been designated to the Rossville United Methodist Church c/o Mercer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 270, Holton, 66436. The Mercer Funeral Home in Holton is in charge of arrangements.
