Mary M. Mick, 75, of Holton, KS, passed away Monday, June 17, 2024 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka, KS. She was born March 21, 1949 in Holton the daughter of Roy J. and Arlene (Gunselman) Moore.

Mary graduated from Soldier High School in 1968. She was a homemaker, a Crossing Guard and lunch room attendant for many years for USD 336 at Central School and owned her own lawn care business.

Mary married Dean Adair Mick, Sr. on June 1, 1968, they celebrated over 52 years of marriage before his passing on October 29, 2020. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Arlene Moore; step-son, Dennis Mick; grandson, Jessie Mick; infant great-grandson; 2 sisters, Elaine Torbett and Rose Hladky and 3 brothers, Joseph "Joe", William "Bill" and James "Jim" Moore.

Survivors include her son, Dean A. Mick, Jr. (Amy) of Holton, KS; a sister, Teresa Emmons (Myron) of Horton, KS; 5 grandchildren, Kyle Mick, Britney Achten (Aaron), Tyler Mick (Lauryn), Matt Mick and Ramsey Mick; great-grandson, Asher Achten; step-daughter, Gail Taliaferro of Holton, KS; 3 step-sons, Francis Mick (Kathy) of Derby, KS, Keith Mick (Kathy) of Circleville, KS and Rowdy Mick (Marsha) of Fairview, KS; 12 step-grandchildren; numerous step-great-grandchildren and step-great-great-grandchildren.

Mary will lie in state from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday June 23rd and Monday June 24th at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Private family burial for Mary and Dean, Sr. will be at a later date at Olive Hill Cemetery.
