KIDNEY-MUSICK
HOLTON- Mary Helen Kidney-Musick, 88, of Holton, died Wednesday, June 28, 2006 at the Holton Community Hospital.
She was born April 10, 1918 in Wetmore, KS, the daughter of Herbert C. and Beryl Williams Kling. She attended school in Wetmore and later moved to Holton where she worked for Slimaker Dress Factory, Ogilvie Drug Store and Federated Department Store. She also lived in Topeka for 20 years before returning to Holton. She was a member of the 1st Christian Church and the Rebekah Lodge both in Holton.
She married Howard Kidney on October 20, 1935. He died August 7, 1967. She later married Robert G. Musick on April 14, 1973 in Holton. He died October 10, 1998. Survivors include her sons, Howard Keith Kidney of St. Marys, KS and Robert M. Kidney of Lafayette, IN; her daughter, Judith K. Thompson of Denison, KS; her sister, Delores Schlodder of Holton, KS; her brothers, Ernest Kling of Hiawatha, KS, Clinton Kling and Kenneth Kling both of St. Marys, KS and Delmas Kling of Hutchinson, KS; 9 grandchildren, Mike Ford and Kellie Hundley of Holton, Tom Ford of San Diego, Robin Kidney of Lawrence, Tammy Abel of Wamego, Patty Beaver and Beckie Rouse of Meriden, Chris Kidney in Japan and Libby Lee in Pennsylvania, 10 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 3, 2006 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Interment will be in Holton Cemetery. Family will greet friends from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the Holton Community Hospital c/o Mercer Funeral Home, Box 270, Holton, KS 66436.
