Obituary

Marvin G. Neiberger, 81, Valley Falls, passed Thursday, Nov. 19, at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka.
He was born June 6, 1928, at Meriden, the son of Leonard and Mildred Rodecap Neiberger. He served in the US Army in the Korean War from 1950-1952.
Marvin worked at the Cargill Grain Elevator, formerly CGF, in Topeka for 34 years, retiring in 1992. He also farmed near Meriden. He was a member of the Valley Falls United Methodist Church. Marvin had a special interest in auto racing, especially his son, Brian's modified.
He married Shirley Sims on Aug. 26, 1955 at Oskaloosa. She survives. He was preceded in death by a brother, Junior Neiberger.
Other survivors include three sons, Mark (Sherri) Neiberger, Homer, NE, Brian Neiberger, Meriden, and Brad (Amber) Neiberger, Valley Falls; a brother, Bernard (Beverly) Neiberger, Topeka; a sister, Virginia Lowe, McLouth; and six grandchildren, Adam, Ashley, Brooke, Sierra, Josee and Skylar.
The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday, Nov. 23, 2009, at Mercer Funeral Home in Valley Falls. Burial will follow at the Meriden Cemetery with military honors conducted by Grahem-Herbers Post 3084, Veterans of Foreign Wars. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Sunday.
