SHOVE

ONAGA- Marjorie J. Shove, 83, of Topeka, KS, formerly of Onaga, passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at Brewster Place Health Center in Topeka. She was born May 19, 1925 in Onaga, KS, the daughter of Roy and Felicie Pinet Zehner. She graduated from Onaga High School and lived most of her life in the Onaga community.
Marjorie was a homemaker and business owner. She owned Marje's flowers in Onaga and was secretary for the Board of Education. She had attended the Onaga Congregational Church.
She was married to Robert Shove on September 27, 1944 in Mayetta, KS. He died June 18, 2006. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Felicie Belle Etychison and her brothers, Frank and Elwin Zehner. Survivors include her son, Craig R. Shove and Jeanne of Kansas City, KS; her daughter, Natalie J. Poorman and Tom of Wichita, KS; her sister, Elroy McDowell of Onaga, KS; her grandchildren, Janel Scott, Michael Poorman and Cameron, Corey and Sarah Shove; great-grandchildren, Julia and Addison Poorman, Jacob and Madelyn Shove and Charlie Hinchey.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 31, 2008 at the Onaga Congregational Church in Onaga. Burial will be in Onaga Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday evening at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton.
