HOLTON – Marjorie E. Endsley, 93, of Topeka formerly of Holton died Monday, May 2, 2011 at Aldersgate Village in Topeka. She was born September 11, 1917 in Bybee, KY, the daughter of Oliver A. and Eula Lee Wilson Brock.
Marjorie graduated from Roosevelt High School in Dayton, OH. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Evangel United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women in Holton and a lifetime member of the Lecompton Historical Society. She had lived in Holton from 1984 to 2008 when she moved to Topeka.
Marjorie married Lybran Irwin Endsley on November 23, 1950 in Dayton, OH. Together they served the United Methodist Churches in McLouth, Robinson, Lecompton/Big Springs, Axtell/Vermillion and Wathena/Elwood in Reverend Endsley's ministry.
Marjorie's husband preceded her in death on December 23, 1999. She was also preceded by a sister, Lillian Brock. Marjorie is survived by her sons, Irwin A. Endsley (Christie) of Gladstone, MO and Byron L. Endsley of Topeka and her granddaughter, Faith Endsley.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 6, 2011 at the Evangel United Methodist Church in Holton. Burial will be in the Holton Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton.
