Marilyn Kay Brown, 63, Houston, TX, passed away Monday, Aug. 19, 2019, at a hospital in Houston, TX.
She was born in Topeka, KS, Jan. 6, 1956, the daughter of William and Wilma (Dugger) Brown.
Marilyn was a heavy equipment operator and was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 101, at Kansas City, MO.
She is survived by two sons, John Brown, and his wife, Natalia, Paola, KS; and Christopher Brown, and his wife Michelle, Silver Lake, KS; her daughter, Cary Henry, and her husband, Alphonso, Great Bend, KS; two sisters, Lesterie Brown and April Jenkins; five grandchildren and numerous friends.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Thomas Botter; and a sister, Jessica Scott.
The family will hold a private graveside service at the Valley Falls Cemetery in Valley Falls, KS.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Marilyn to the American Diabetes Association, 7285 W 132nd St, Overland Park, KS 66213.
Mercer Funeral Home in Valley Falls is in charge of local arrangements.
