Marie A. (Boothe) "Nana" McCubbin, 84, of Duncanville, TX, died Friday January 26, 2007.
She was born June 16, 1922 in Sabetha, KS, the youngest child of George W. and Ora E. Crump Boothe. She graduated from the Atchison County Community High School in 1941, at Effingham, KS. After graduation she moved to Kalamazoo, MI, where she was employed in the paper industry with the K.V.P./James Rivers Corporation for over 43 years. She retired in 1986. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Kalamazoo.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall McCubbin on May 28, 1981; brothers, John, Arnold, Jewell, Charley, Robert, George and William; and a sister, Martha.
Marie is survived by a daughter, Patricia Seeds and her husband, Larry of Duncanville, TX; granddaughter, Lori Knebel and her husband, Keith of Grapevine, TX; Great-grandchildren, Victoria A. and Andrew A. Knebel; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at the Whiting Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Springhill Cemetery in Whiting, KS. Memorials may be made to the Whiting Baptist Church or to the Alzheimer's Association c/o Mercer Funeral Home, Box 270, Holton, KS 66436.
