HOLTON – Marian Louise Herbers Bartley, 55 of Overland Park, KS formerly of Holton, died Monday, August 23, 2010 at her home. Marian was born on November 29, 1954 in Topeka. She was the daughter of Alvin J. and Charlotte E. Cummings Herbers.
Marian graduated from Holton High School in 1972 and Stormont Vail School of Nursing in 1978. She had worked as a nurse in Topeka and Kansas City. She was a member of Heartland Community Church in Olathe.
Marian is survived by her son, Jason Hunter of Independence, MO; her sisters, Julia Fahrmeier of Holton, KS, Susan Cole of Girard, KS and Lois Sechrist of St. Louis, MO; her brothers, Ralph Herbers of Holton, KS, James Herbers of Newton, KS and Jack Herbers of Topeka, KS; step-mother, Betty Herbers of Holton.
Marian was cremated. A Celebration of Life will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 4, 2010 at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. until the service.
