Obituary

HOLTON-Louise M. Hamilton, 81, of Holton, KS passed away December 3, 2009 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka, KS. She was born March 14, 1928 in Wetmore, KS the daughter of Raymond R. and Ethel M. McDaniel Hawley.
She lived in Holton for more than 20 years and had previously lived in the Goff and Corning communities. She was a member of the Maple Grove Club, a member of 16 /75ers Square Dance Club, a member of First United Methodist Church and a member of United Methodist Women all of Holton. She was a former member of Circleville Saddle Club, Corning United Methodist Church and Evangel United Methodist Church.
Louise married Keith P. "Skeeter" Hamilton on February 3, 1951 in Goff, KS. He passed away December 25, 2001. She was also preceded in death by 2 sisters, Betty Hamilton and Martha Reeves and a brother, Raymond Hawley.
Survivors include a daughter, Dona Anderson (Jon) and a son, Max Hamilton (Darla) both of Holton, KS; 2 sisters, Dorothy Edwards (Bill) of Arvada, CO and Daisy Wenger (Clayton) of Topeka, KS; 5 grandchildren, Brian Anderson (Jessica), Blake Anderson (Laura Wood), Amanda Farmer, Matt Hamilton (Tracy), Austin Winter and 4 great grandchildren, Mariah Farmer, Ethan Hamilton, Kyler Anderson and Lillian Hamilton.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 7, 2009 at the First United Methodist Church in Holton. Burial will be in the America City Cemetery (south of Corning). Family will greet friends 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Memorials may be given to the First United Methodist Church or Midland Hospice c/o Mercer Funeral Home P.O. Box 270, Holton, KS 66436.
