Lois Marie Senn Homewood died peacefully on November 3, 2014 in Fargo, North Dakota.

Born on May 19, 1919 in Valley Falls, Kansas, Lois is the daughter of Louis Joseph and Nellie B. Curtis Senn.   Lois was raised near Valley Falls and attended Valley Falls public schools, later receiving a Business Certificate from Stricklers Business College in Topeka.  Following a 25 year career at the Kirkhill Rubber Company in Brea, California, she became a homemaker.

Lois married James Edward Homewood on August 29, 1942 in Valley Falls who preceded her in death on May 17, 1986.  They raised their family in Fullerton, California.  She is survived by a son James Louis Homewood (Sharon) and four grandchildren – David (Nancy) Ingersoll, Theodore (Carrie) Homewood, Lois (Darren) Willcox, and Jennifer (Edward) Wagner.  She was also blessed with ten great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  Lois was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Janell Arnold, her sister Francis Rollin and her brother Frank Senn.


Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, November 10, 2014, at Mercer Funeral Home in Valley Falls.  Burial will follow at the Valley Falls Cemetery.  Visitation will take place prior to the service between 9:00-11:00 am.
