Lois L. Lake Thoman Koon, 78 of Mayetta passed away Wednesday morning April 28, 2010 at her home.
Lois was born November 30, 1931 in Topeka, Kansas the daughter of Howard S. and Ethel E. (McMullen) Lake. She graduated from Topeka High School in 1949. On March 1, 1980 Lois married William "Bill" L. Koon in Topeka. He preceded her in death on December 29, 2009. She was working for Prairie Band Casino and had for several years.
She is survived by: her sons, William Thoman and wife Debbie of Tucson, AZ and Donald Thoman and wife Judy of Mayetta, KS; her daughters, Cindy Radebaugh and husband William of Mesa, AZ, Connie Fahey and husband Darin of Topeka, KS and Tamara Hainline and husband Dane of Paola, KS; her step sons, Don Koon of Hoyt, KS and Richard Koon of Ft. Collins, CO; her sisters, Mildred Toburen of Carbondale, KS, Erma Somers of Lancaster, CA, and Joyce Parks of Neodesha, KS; and her fourteen grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her brothers Frank and Donald Lake.
Graveside Inurnment will be 3:00 p.m. Friday, April 30 in Mayetta Cemetery. Memorials may be given to American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital c/o Mercer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 270, Holton, KS 66436.
