Linda L. Kirkham

Linda Lee Kirkham, 74, of Holton, Kansas, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2026, at Anew Healthcare Nursing Home in Holton. She was born March 23, 1952, in Atchison, Kansas, the daughter of Robert Eugene and Katherine Mary (Welch) Robinson.

Linda graduated from Jackson Heights High School in 1970. Throughout her life, she was a familiar and hardworking presence in the Holton community. She worked for many years in the packaging department at Oldham’s in Holton. She was also the owner and operator of the Mesquite Club, worked as a bartender at the Holton Country Club, and served as a cook for the Jackson Heights School District. Linda also managed the Café at the Holton Livestock Exchange.

Linda cherished her family and the time she spent with those she loved. She is survived by her son, Jason Kirkham of Holton; granddaughters, Katelynn Kirkham and Alexis Lakin; nine great-grandchildren, Kyarah, Roslin, Aracellie, Rowdy, Paislee, Cutter, Santiago, Josslyn, and Luciano; and sister-in-law, Otha Robinson.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Steve Robinson.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will follow at Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Atchison. Linda will lie in state Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service.
