HILLSBORO, KS- Linda F. Allen, 73, of Hillsboro, KS, formerly of Topeka, KS, passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at Salem Home in Hillsboro. She was born December 4, 1948 in Amarillo, TX, the daughter of Arville Derwood and Estelline H. (Fine) Brandon.

Linda earned her G.E.D. at Allen Community College in 2000.

She worked as a CNA, for Manor Care and Aldersgate Village both in Topeka. She was a charter member of North Rock Baptist Temple in Topeka, KS.

Linda married Harold E. Allen on January 31, 1974 in Topeka, KS. He preceded her in death on November 9, 2015, after 41 years of marriage. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Arville and Estelline Brandon; sister, Doris Lee Brandon and by her first loving husband, Frank Michael "Mike" Genoble.

Survivors include 4 children, Tammy L. Aguilar (John) of Gypsum, KS, Timothy L. Genoble (Cinnamon) of Iola, KS, Michelle L. Eitel of Topeka, KS and Nichole H. Allen of Topeka, KS; 2 brothers, Bobby L. Brandon of Missouri and Kenneth W. "Tex" Brandon of Texas; 17 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and one on the way.

Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will follow at the Holton Cemetery. Family will greet friends one hour prior to service time.
