PARRETT

CIRCLEVILLE – Lawrence P. Parrett, 93, died Saturday, November 3, 2007 at the Onaga Hospital. He was born December 28, 1913 in Whiting, KS, the son of William P. and Ethel Lawrence Parrett. He graduated from Whiting High School in 1933. He was a farmer and stockman and retired from Goodyear after 23 years in 1976. He was a member of the local #307. He was a member of the Circleville Christian Church where he was currently Elder Emeritus.
Lawrence married Mary Willie Keithline on October 30, 1936 in Wetmore. She preceded him in death on August 20, 2000. He was also preceded in death by an infant son, Maurice Heath Parrett and brothers, Scott J. Parrett in 2001 and Lyle I. Parrett in 2005. He is survived by sons, L. Keith Parrett of Circleville, Kenneth A. Parrett of Hoyt, and Ronald D. Parrett of Circleville; sister, Mary Lou McComb of Muscatine, Iowa; brother, Richard A. Parrett of Topeka; fourteen grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren and three great great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 9, 2007 at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will be in the Springhill Cemetery in Whiting. The family will greet friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the Circleville Christian Church Building Fund and sent in care of Mercer Funeral Home, Box 270, Holton, KS 66436.
