Larry Eugene Dean, 72, of Holton, KS, formerly of Wetmore, KS, passed March 3, 2024 unexpectedly at his home. He was born November 24, 1952 in Sabetha, KS, the son of Robert V. and Elizabeth A. (Wyatt) Dean.

Larry attended Granada and Wetmore Grade Schools and later earned his GED. He proudly served in the United States Army from 1971 – 1979, during the Vietnam War.

Larry worked on the farm for George Achten as a farmhand, cattleman and repairing fence. He also mowed and maintained the Granada Cemetery.

He was a member of the Wetmore United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Elizabeth Dean; 3 sisters, Barbara Hughes, Mary Krevanko and Viola Jensen and 3 brothers, Robert, Frank and Richard Dean.

He is survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

Graveside Inurnment at a later date. Mercer Funeral Home in Holton is in charge of arrangements.
