Larry Dean Bleier, 77, of Holton, passed away July 12, 2010 at his home. He was born October 12, 1932 in Topeka, Kansas the son of George C. and Marguerite Beseau Bleier. After graduating from Seaman High School in 1951, Larry enlisted with the United States Air Force and proudly served in the Korean War.
Larry was a meat cutter with Falley's Grocery Stores in Topeka. Larry's family was in the farm produce business and his love for gardening continued. He was always sharing from his garden. He was a member of the Catholic Church and had been attending the First Baptist Church in Holton.
Larry married Leona M. Glenn on February 5, 1955. She survives. He is also survived by his children, David Bleier (Cheryl) of Parkville, MO, Daniel Bleier (Teresa) of Valley Center, KS, Julie Shaw (Jeff) of Ozawkie, KS and Jill Bleier of Holton; brothers, William D. Bleier (Marilyn) of Topeka, KS and Jere Bleier (Marjene) of Holton, KS; his eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Larry was preceded in death by his brother George B. Bleier.
Memorial Services will be 10:00 a.m., Monday July 19th at First Baptist Church in Holton. The family will greet friends at a visitation following the Memorial Services. Inurnment will be held at a later date.
