Obituary

Kenneth Wayne Dibbern, 75, of Mayetta, KS, passed away Monday, November 20, 2023 at his home. He was born November 14, 1948 in Leavenworth, KS, the son of Loren P. and Cora Lee (Hundley) Dibbern.

Kenny graduated from Soldier High School in 1966. He was drafted in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from 1968 – 1970. Kenny was a repairman with the Holton, United, Sprint and Embarq Telephone Companies for over 40 years.

On September 21, 1975, Kenny was united in marriage to Deloris Ailene Kathrens. They later divorced. To this union, they shared a son, Thomas Wayne Dibbern.

Kenny's pride and joy was his passion for horses. He was a member of the Circleville and Holton Saddle Club. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge in Circleville.

Survivors include his son, Thomas Wayne Dibbern of San Angelo, TX; sister, Linda Walder (Carl) of Delia, KS and brother, Paul Eugene Dibbern (Sheri) of Netawaka, KS.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Loren and Cora Lee Dibbern; 2 sisters, Patricia Murphy and Carol I. Buehler and a brother, Raymond Dibbern.

Memorial Service with Military Honors will be 1:00 p.m. Sunday, December 17, 2023 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Inurnment will follow to the Olive Hill Cemetery. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be given to the Circleville Saddle Club c/o Mercer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 270, Holton, KS 66436.
