Kenneth Leroy Luker, 71, of Holton, KS passed away Monday, March 10, 2008 at the Holton Community Hospital. He was born April 27, 1936 in Buckeye, KS, the son of James Abner and Mary Elizabeth Butler Luker. Kenneth moved to the Holton community from Topeka 33 years ago. He worked various jobs throughout the years and recently retired from the Prairie Band Casino. He served in the National Guard and was a member of the Church of the Brethren.
He was married to Mary Smith on May 8, 1955 in Redfield, KS. She survives. Other survivors include his son, Tracy Luker and Beth of Holton, KS; his daughters, Sandy Luker and Kathy Brady both of Hoyt, KS; his sisters, Lucille Ward and Loren of Uniontown, KS, Lois Wynn and Don of Uniontown, KS, Bonnie Cornwall and Bob in Texas and Phyllis Randall and David of Olathe, KS; his brother, Eldon Luker and Gloria of Uniontown, KS; his grandchildren, Ann, Katie, and Chris Luker, Kayla, Nick and Corey Brady, and Jessie, Sonya and Mary Priest; great-grandchildren, Devon, Gabby, Sondra, Taylieona, Haily and Tristan. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Alicia Marie.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 14, 2008 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Interment will be in Holton Cemetery.
