Keith D. Ferrell, 89, of Valley Falls, passed away Sunday, March 5, 2023 at Midland Care Hospice House in Topeka. He was born April 14, 1933 in Valley Falls, KS, the son of Ralph and Elsie (Bedwell) Ferrell.

He proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1951 – 1955.

Keith was a Civil Service Firefighter in Elpaso, TX and Wadsworth (Veterans Administration Center) Leavenworth, KS. After retirement, he was a Black Angus Cattle Rancher; he officially retired at the age of 62.

Keith married Patricia Ann Stein on May 6, 1952 in Rogers, AR. They celebrated over 59 years of marriage; before her passing on November 13, 2011. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Elsie Ferrell and a sister, Dolores "Dee" Anspaugh.

Survivors include his daughter, Deborah Scarlett (Terry) of Valley Falls, KS; 2 grandchildren, Chad Scarlett (Robyn) and Brian Scarlett (Susan) and 4 great-grandchildren, Anna, Dalton, Laurann and Rory.
