Las Vegas - Kathleen Faye (Brownlow) Johnston, 81, of Las Vegas, NV and formerly of Holton, KS passed away, Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at her home. She was born September 25, 1938 in Denison, KS the daughter of Jesse and Rachel (Carpenter) Brownlow. She graduated from Denison High School in 1956.

On September 1, 1956 in Holton, KS, Kathleen married Frank Robert Johnston. They shared over 43 years of marriage before Frank passed away on February 20, 1999.

Kathleen was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She spent most of her time taking care of her children and she will dearly miss all of her grandchildren that she loved so much.

She is survived by five children, Marcia Jones (Gerald) of Hoyt, KS, Karen McClintock (Jeff Fortenberry) of Auburn, KS, Dianna Romine of Cheyenne, WY, Deanna Johnston (Rick Mayber), Brighton, CO and Craig Johnston, Kenai, AK; 2 sisters, Linda Brownlow of Holton, KS and Shirley Horr of Holton, KS; 2 brothers, Donald Brownlow (Linda Lou) of Mayetta, KS and Dale Brownlow of Topeka, KS; 6 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren.

Kathleen is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Frank; 3 sisters, Doris Armstrong, Evelyn Weatherhead and Marilyn May; 1 son-in-law, Neal Romine; 1 brother-in-law, Don Horr.

Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, August 7, 2020 at the Holton Cemetery in Holton, KS. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association c/o of Mercer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 270, Holton, KS 66436.
