Karen A. O'Dell, 66, of Holton, KS died Friday, October 19, 2012 after a battle with cancer. Karen was born December 16, 1945 in Kansas City, MO. She was the daughter of Louis A. and Beula B. Haslar.

She graduated from Shawnee Mission High School. She had previously lived in Tonganoxie, KS and Rockaway Beach, MO. Karen was a homemaker and had worked for Denny's Restaurant in Lenexa, KS.

Karen married Danny L. O'Dell on June 17, 1966. He preceded her in death on September 14, 2008. Karen is survived by her children, Monica A. Briner (Terry) of Holton, KS and Brian D. O'Dell of Netawaka, KS and three grandchildren, Justin, Shayla and Destinee.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at Floral Hills Cemetery in Kansas City, MO. The family will greet friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton.
