LAWRENCE- Kara Louise Morgan, 26, of Lawrence, KS formerly of Holton, KS passed away September 12, 2009 as the result of a car accident. She was born August 25, 1983 in Tacoma, WA the daughter of Robert A. and Connie J. Wade Morgan.
Kara graduated from Jackson Heights High School in 2001. She had lived in Lawrence the past 4 years and attended Kansas University. She had also worked as a waitress at the Alvamar Country Club in Lawrence. Kara previously lived in Soldier and Holton and in Hawaii for 2 years. She attended the Soldier Christian Church and was a member of the Elk Creek Turtle Club.
Survivors include her parents, Bob and Connie Morgan of Holton, KS; paternal grandmother, Glenda Query of Puyallup, WA; maternal grandmother, Thersa Wade of Holton, KS; a sister, Jennifer Whitaker of Tacoma, WA; a nephew, Cooper Whitaker and a niece, Caitlynn Whitaker.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will be in the Circleville Cemetery. Family will greet friends 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the Kara Morgan Memorial Fund (to be designated at a later date) c/o Mercer Funeral Home P.O.
