June Marie Barrett Belt, 46, of Hoyt, KS, formerly of Kansas City, MO, died Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at her brother's home. She was born October 23, 1961 in Tacoma, WA, the daughter of Paul Belt, Jr. and Patricia A. Barrett Belt.
June Marie graduated from Washburn Rural High School and from St. Francis School of Nursing in Hartford, CT. She then graduated with honors earning a Masters Degree from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.
She was a Nurse Practitioner MSN,ARNP and most recently served as Associate Director of Cray Diabetes Center at The University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City. She was a member of the Center for Spiritual Living in K.C., MO.
She was married to Joel Marchesi. They were later divorced. June Marie is survived by her mother, Patricia A. Belt of Topeka, KS; her brothers, Patrick Belt and Dalene of Wichita, KS, John Belt and Kathy of Hoyt, KS and Barrett Belt and Colleen of Burlingame, KS and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 21, 2008 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton, KS. Memorials may be given to Holton Community Hospital Hospice or Center for Spiritual Living or Animal Haven c/o Mercer Funeral Home, Box 270, Holton, KS 66436.
