Joyce Marie Koch, 86, of Holton, KS passed away November 4, 2013 at The Pines in Holton. She was born April 30, 1927 in Valley Falls, KS the daughter of Laurence E. and Gladys L. (Cline) Perrigo.

Joyce graduated from Denison High School in 1944. After high school she worked at the Holton Recorder. She was a teller at American Savings and Loan in Holton for 13 years and later worked as a teacher's aide at Colorado School for several years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Holton and was a past member of United Methodist Women, Holton Business Women, the American Legion Auxiliary, the Holton Country Club and the Holton Booster Club.

On November 22, 1947 Joyce married John D. Koch in Holton. He preceded her in death on February 4, 2009. She is survived by: her daughters, Sheryl Slimmer (Steve) and LeAnn Brown (Tom) both of Holton; her 5 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 8 step-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband she was also preceded in death by her brother, Byron Perrigo.

Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 8, 2013 at Mercer Funeral Home. Inurnment will follow in Holton Cemetery. The family will greet friends Thursday evening from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Holton Community Hospital Hospice or Holton High School Girls Golf Team. Contributions may be sent in care of Mercer Funeral Home, P.O.
