It is with great sadness that the family of Joyce L. Armstrong (Lofton), age 87, of Alanson, MI, announce her passing on April 20, 2023 in Marshall, MI.

Joyce leaves behind her son, David Armstrong of Alanson, MI; daughter, Donna and Mike Wygant of Battle Creek, MI; two sisters, Patricia Herbison of Cleveland, MS and Laura and Murray Riddle of Shaw, MS; five grandchildren, Jillian and Mike of Grand Rapids, MI, Jena Bradley of Ann Arbor, MI, Mike Jr. and Danyelle Wygant, David and Angel Wygant and Derek and Veronica Roberts all of Battle Creek, MI; along with her four great-granddaughters, Emeline, Collins, Amara and Octavia.

Joyce was born on January 24, 1936 in Indianola, MS to parents, Percy and Arice Lofton; who preceded her in death along with her husband, Max and oldest sister, Dorothy Lucas (Lofton).

She married the love of her life, the late Max Armstrong on June 21, 1957 in Greenville, MS.

She enjoyed spending time with family, being a greeter at the senior center in Brutus, MI and spending time outdoors, reading and writing poems for every occasion.

Funeral Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 28, 2023 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton, KS. She will be laid to rest beside her husband, Max, at the Havensville Cemetery in Havensville, KS.
