Joseph Edward Klenklen, 44, Perry, formerly of Valley Falls, died Saturday, Nov. 29, 2008, as a result of injuries from a single vehicle accident in Valley Falls.
He was born Aug. 17, 1964, at Kansas City, MO, the son of William F. and Dolores L. Wood Klenklen. He graduated from Valley Falls High School and Kaw Area Technical School.
Joe was a flooring installer for over 25 years and had owned his own installing business for 20 years. He had worked for Kring's Interiors in Lawrence since 2004. He was a member of St. Mary's Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at Valley Falls.
He married Tina Wendt on Oct. 23, 1985, at Phoenix, AZ. She survives. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dolores Klenklen, on Dec. 2, 1997.
Survivors include two sons, Donald Joseph "D. J." Klenklen, and Kody Lee Klenklen, both of Perry; his father, William F. Klenklen, Valley Falls; two brothers, Kevin (Jamie) Klenklen and Kenny (Melanie) Klenklen, both of Ozawkie; and three sisters, Carol Klenklen, Wichita, Janet (Rusty) James, Ozawkie, and Donna Klenklen, Valley Falls.
Cremation is planned.
A Memorial Mass will be at 10:30 am, Friday, Dec. 5, 2008, at St. Mary's Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Valley Falls. Visitation will be from 6:30-8:00 p.m., Thursday, at Mercer Funeral Home in Valley Falls.
