Joe B. Searles, 56, of Holton formerly of Denison died Saturday, March 18, 2006 at his home. He was born February 5, 1950 in Kansas City, KS. He was the son of Ansel Burton and Phyllis Rae Benthin Searles.
He was a truck driver for Haug Construction. He had been a member of the Episcopal Church. He was a member of the Reaper Motorcycle Club. He enjoyed woodworking and fishing.
Joe married Carol J. Wichman on April 28, 1992. She survives. He is also survived by his parents, Dr. Ansel and Phyllis Searles of Holton; daughter, Angie Searles and her boyfriend Terre Baumann of Larkingburg; sister, Kay Stotts of San Antonio, TX; brother, Mark Searles and his wife Sue of Topeka.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 21, 2006 at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will be in the Circleville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.
