Jerry Ellsworth McBride, 68, of Topeka, KS passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at Alma Manor Nursing Center in Alma, KS. He was born September 25, 1946 in Zanesville, OH, the son of James and Mildred (Beers) McBride.

Jerry graduated from Whitehall High School in Columbus, OH. After graduation he proudly served in the United States Air Force. Jerry had lived most of his life in Topeka, working in sales at Fleming Foods for a number of years.

He married Sharon Hunter on July 30, 1966 in Topeka. They recently celebrated their 49th Wedding Anniversary.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon McBride of the home; 2 sons, Todd McBride (Serah) of Topeka, KS and Robb McBride (Mary) of Lebanon, PA; a brother, Roger McBride (Beverly) of Georgia; 8 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson.

Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 25, 2015 at the Holton Cemetery. Jerry will lie in state at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton, beginning Wednesday afternoon. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Grace Hospice c/o Mercer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 270, Holton, KS 66436.
