Jerry Hill, 81, of Holton, KS passed away Monday, September 2, 2019 at his home. He was born June 7, 1938 in St. Paul, AR, the son of Hugh and Geneva Lockwood Hill.

Jerry graduated from Fullerton High School in California and attended a few years of college. He was a machine operator for 3M Manufacturing in Corona, CA. He later farmed in Oklahoma and has lived in the Holton area for 23 years.

Jerry proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of the Lakeview Faith Chapel.

He was married to Violet Earline Ellis on February 19, 1972 in Fullerton, CA. She survives of the home. Jerry is also survived by 3 sons; Charles Hill (Shondi) of Topeka, KS, Cleveland Cartmill (Robin) of Holton, KS and Lee Cartmill of Topeka, KS; 4 daughters; Roxanna Lewis of Topeka, KS, Gena Aldana (Carlos) and Jera Hill both of Las Vegas, NV and Genny Clarkson (Robert) of Cleburne, TX; his sister, Ruby Cochran, Arizona; 2 brothers, Lonnie Hill of Oklahoma and James Hill of California; 31 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sisters; Joellen West and Doris and Barbara Hill; his brothers, Bud, John and Bill Hill and his grandchildren; Chad Ward, Charles Hill II and Floyd Shaffer.

A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 7, 2019 at Lakeview Faith Chapel south of Holton. Memorials for Jerry Hill may be given to Mercer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 270, Holton, KS 66436 to help with funeral expenses.
