DENISON- Jena Joan Rieschick, 38, of Denison, KS a loving wife and mother went to be with her lord on Friday, March 11, 2011. She was born on April 16, 1972 in Topeka, KS the daughter of John J. and Rita R. Pierson Jenson. At a young age she lost her mother to cancer. She graduated in the top of her class from Holton High School in 1990 and went on to graduate from Kansas State University in 1993 with a degree in accounting. She worked for Security Benefit in Topeka from 1993 -1998. She then worked for Morrill and Janes Bank in Onaga until she became Vice President for the First Trust Company of Onaga.
Jena married Duane Rieschick on November 27, 1993 in Holton. They have two sons, Andrew and Justin. The family loved sports and everyone participated in all the activities the boys decided to do. Jena was always a leader. She helped coach the girls' softball teams in Soldier, KS before her children were born. As soon as her sons were old enough to hold a ball she and Duane were teaching them how to be the best they could be. She was always organizing baseball tournaments, money making projects for the ball teams and finding any way she could to be sure her family was getting the most out of life. As the family grew older and the boys took up wrestling, she became a wrestling "mom" who learned how to keep score at the meets, just so she could be closer to her boys.
Her love was her family and to be with them whenever she could. She loved to cook and scrapbook. She has made scrapbooks for both boys showing all their accomplishments. She had helped with 4-H.
